A picture book designed for young sufferers of anxiety. Released in January 2021 by Jessica Kingsley Publishers. This book is set in the same world as The Princess and the Fog, and even features some familiar faces.
As with The Princess and the Fog the artwork was designed to represent the way living with anxiety feels - with sharp, almost abrasive colours, intrusive but not necessarily realistic thoughts, and plenty of mess and chaos.
This story is primarily written for children, of course, but in such a way that adults may find familiar and appreciate as well. Plenty of humour for all ages is dotted throughout, to appeal to readers of all ages - whether they have their own experience with anxiety or not.
I recently wrote about some of my main influences here.
